Chuck and Della Magnet were born and raised in North Carolina. They were married in 1991 and lived in Texas for 10 years while completing graduate degrees. During this time, Chuck became a youth and worship pastor of a church in the North Dallas area. This group of people quickly became a spiritual family for Chuck and Della. What was a job became transformative for them. This “job” imprinted home and family on their hearts. This, unknown to them at the time, became the launching point of what Re-Generation is now. A place for home and family and genuine friendship and guidance where there is none.

After a training course and mission trip to Berlin, Germany in 2000, the Magnet family returned to North Carolina to live near family for a time before moving into their next phase. During this time, they suffered the loss of their 3rd child, JohnMark to stillbirth. Through this tragic experience, the desire to befriend and help others was sealed into their being. They understood, in a new way, the deep pain of loneliness and isolation. The importance of walking through life with a strong family-community around oneself is crucial.

In 2005 Chuck and Della moved overseas to help establish a training house in Berlin. After 7 years there, working and living in an extremely multi-cultural environment, they felt prepared to return to the USA and to set up Re-Generation. After a lot of thought and prayer, they felt a strong desire to extend this family community of genuine love, care and guidance to a people group that many dismiss and dehumanize. And with that, they planted Re-Generation in Los Angeles, CA. The entertainment industry has a massive influence on world culture, however the people that work to entertain or enable others to entertain, are often broken and hurting and lonely. Their desire is to help them heal and to move forward and thrive.
Chuck and Della now live in Los Angeles with their 4 children and provide service, and love and family to the many people of the entertainment community.
WHAT WE DO
People of the entertainment industry are often overlooked, devalued and dismissed because they are thought of as the elite. They are believed to be rich, spoiled or privileged. However, this generalization is untrue. People that work in entertainment are simply people with struggles and problems like anyone else. They might be lonely, lost, frustrated, disappointed or plagued and held back by their pasts. They might be stifled by the busyness of life and work and entertaining. But, they are people of value. They are people who are worthy of love and compassion and true friendship.
So, what do we do? We come alongside them as true friends with no expectations. We take time for them in whatever way they need and support their chosen art form with our presence and encouragement. We give them family in a place that they might not have any and we give them a safe place to belong. We lead ALWAYS with unconditional love, no matter what.
Because each person is different, each journey of regeneration looks different. We assess their individual needs and meet those specific needs. Re-Generation offers help with mental health, life coaching and spiritual guidance. This gives them the greatest chance at success inwardly and outwardly. Our goal is to see people move forward while being fully healthy in body, mind and spirit.

Los Angeles
While Los Angeles as a whole is considered a city with global influence in entertainment, it is easy to forget the people that make up these various branches of industry. There are faces behind the billboards and the fame. These are some of the most courageous people in the world. The majority of the people who move to Los Angeles come here because they have a dream. This is the city of dreamers and dream killers. Whether they are looking to make it in film, television, music, or some other area of the entertainment industry, these brave people have left everything: family, friends, home, and comfort to follow dreams, doing whatever it takes to make it happen.
These dreamers are, almost from day one, pummeled with loneliness, disappointment, isolation, deceptions, and a destructively competitive market. The lies come so often and from so many different directions that they eat away at mental-health and self-worth until they no longer can believe in their dreams or themselves. With hope and purpose gone, self-doubt isolates and leaves them lonely and hopeless, until many simply leave the city and go back home.
Our mission is to provide family, friendship, home and a safe place for people who are here, not only to follow a dream, but who are here to bring their light into darkness. We are called to stand along side people until they can see their own value, and be re-generated into the people they were created to be. By providing this essential care, no matter what successes or failures come their way, they will be a healed, and whole person. And, in turn, they will be solid people who can also help others.

We do ALL of our own administration, and our home is our office and (when possible) a place to host

100% of gifts are going directly to providing for and serving people in all walks of the entertainment industry

Monthly living expenses - this allows us to be on call full time to offer support and emergent needs
